to the first issue of East Cork Health & Wellbeing. The goal of this magazine is to connect you with the extensive services, practitioners and organisations that are right on your doorstep. The contributors that you will see in this publication are all qualified to and passionate about helping you to improve your mental, emotional and physical health. Knowledge is empowering; we strive to provide you with the knowledge you need to make informed, positive choices about your health and wellbeing.
I founded Health & Wellbeing magazine a year ago, in Ballincollig; and have just published our first anniversary issue. It has been a fantastic year, in that, the magazine has and is successfully connecting the community to services and practitioners locally. I receive messages every month from our readers, thanking us for doing something so positive for the community, telling us they look forward to reading it each month and saying how amazed they are that there is so much help available in their own community. This tells me there is a huge need for something like what we are doing; there is a gap is the level of information people have in relation to what can help them on a local level. And so, providing this “one stop shop” as such, for the community is meeting a very important need.
I have had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful practitioners and service providers in East Cork, since I began working on this magazine. They have come on board because they believe in this and they are passionate about connecting with the community and helping those that need it. You will read different articles from these contributors every month, across a broad range of issues.
You will also find a “Readers Reward” voucher inside; take this to a practitioner of your choice in the magazine and receive your loyalty reward for staying local.
This is a monthly publication, which will be available from May on the second Wednesday of the month; but follow us on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date with what is happening in your community, in-between issues. Feel free to comment and chat to us there; be in involved, this is your magazine!
I sincerely hope you enjoy and benefit from your community based health and wellbeing magazine,Download Magazine Edition
