To the Christmas/New Year issue of East Cork Health & Wellbeing. It is a beautiful time of year, with the build up to Christmas starting, with the twinkling lights brightening the dark evenings and the cosy warm fires and the new start to another year to follow. However, it is a time also that can be quite difficult for many. Maybe due to losing a loved one, or the stress of money pressures, or loneliness, or ill-health. It is a time for us all to remember those that may need some help, support or just some company. The season of giving does not need to be of material gifts; what we can offer by taking the time for somebody else is far more valuable.
This time of year is about enjoying ourselves, sharing the company of others and looking forward to the fresh start of the new year. It is a time to take stock and think about how to make improvements where needed. All too often though we make “resolutions” to change many things…but all too often these don’t last. Caring for our health is something that needs ongoing attention and focus and done in a holistic way. Our feature this month is “Your Health Plan for 2019 – Small Steps to a Healthier You.” We hope you will be empowered to take small steps to improve your mental, physical and emotional health and wellbeing across the entire year.
Thanks to Vanda Silva of Vanda Silva Therapies for our cover feature this month; Vanda’s Salt Therapy treatments have the most amazing natural health benefits. Read all about them on page 3.
All of us here at the magazine would like to wish you and yours the most wonderful Christmas and every best wish for a healthy and happy 2019. Thank you all for supporting us by picking up your copy each month; and for using the practitioners when you need their help. It is so powerful when community supports community and it is something that is very special in East Cork. We have the amazing practitioners and services here that are passionate about making a difference in the community and it is fantastic to see that being supported by you. Thank you!
We take a break for January, so our next issue will be out on the second Wednesday of February; but if you need help from any of our experts, don’t hesitate to pick up the phone to speak with them.Download Magazine Edition
