Welcome

To the July issue of Ballincollig Health & Wellbeing. The summer has truly arrived now and we are getting our reward for enduring such a long and arduous winter. The beautiful weather allows us to spend so much more time enjoying the outdoors and to get much needed vitamin D. However, being the temptation can be to spend hours in the sun once it shines, forgetting how long we have spent covered up and how severe the sun’s UV rays can be.

This month our feature, “Skin Health, from Inside and Out” includes important, timely information from the Irish Cancer Society about being “SunSmart” and our own team provide extremely useful and effective options and methods for caring for your skin naturally.

Our cover feature this month is Active Retirement Ballincollig; an amazing local group offering a huge range of activities to the local retired and semi-retired. Read all about them and see their July activity programme on page 3.

As always, we hope you are enjoying your free, monthly, local, health & wellbeing magazine. Please feel free to contact us with any question, comment or feedback and call any member of the team if you need help with anything. Each practitioner is right on your doorstep and ready and eager to help you. Remember, no matter what, there is always someone who can help.

And of course, enjoy our beautiful weather, and be “SunSmart”.
