To the October issue of East Cork Health and Wellbeing. We hope you have been enjoying and benefiting from your local health and wellbeing magazine over the last 6 months. As you will see there are many qualified, passionate, professional people near you that are only too happy to help. If you are struggling with any issue, illness or health challenge, don’t hesitate to pick up the phone to anyone in the magazine, or you can call me with any questions. We have a large network of practitioners and services that we can ask a question of; and so, find a solution for you.
This month we focus on building you and your family up for the winter; it was a particularly tough winter last year in terms of colds, cough and flus and so we must learn from that and ensure we are resilient enough to cope with what comes our way this year.
Just as I was about to write this welcome, somebody gave me a book on Ayurvédic Yoga Massage; in the forward there is a quote from Kasum Modak;
“In modern times, we are running against time, forgetting ourselves. If you keep a little time for yourself, then you will face very few problems with your body. You can then start to notice your body and the problems it shows”.
This is great advice; we need to take more time out of the racing, minding and running, to give to ourselves. It is not selfish to take time for you, to listen to what your body needs. Another great quote, “You cannot pour from an empty cup!”
There are many people and services close to you that can help you to care for yourself; make time for you.
As always, we hope you enjoy and benefit from the magazine,Download Magazine Edition
